Sutivan je tipično "malo misto" izvorne dalmatinske arhitekture. Smješteno nadomak Splita (sedam nautičkih milja) sa
svojih 600 stanovnika pruža idealne uvjete da osjetite svu mirnoću i čar otočkog života. Živopisna mjesna luka "porat"
sa prelijepim šetnicama uz obalu (predvečer promet isključen), čistim morem i u samoj luci, pruža niz mogućnosti za
izrazito miran ili pak aktivan odmor. Više plaža u samom mjestu vrlo je popularno zbog izrazito čistog mora i prelijepog
žala. Ako želite mir i relativnu samoću možete izabrati jednu od niza manjih i većih uvala sa žalom i hladovinom
stoljetnih borova u okolici mjesta. Ako volite starine možete obići više sakralnih objekata ili renesansni ljetnikovac
splitskog pjesnika Kavanjina, kao i posjetiti prigodne likovne izložbe. Poseban doživljaj je procesija sv.Roka (16.08.)
nebeskog zaštitnika Sutivana u kojoj sudjeluju svi mještani i koja je stoljećima sačuvana u izvornom obliku. Ljetni odmor
možete upotpuniti izletima u unutrašnjost Brača:Vidova gora (najviši otočki vrh), pustinju "Blace", mjesto muzej - Škrip i
drugo.
 
Sutivan is a typical dalmatian small town, with it`s original architecture. It is located seven nautical miles from town of
Split, and with a population of 600, it offers you the way to feel calm and beauty of island life. Pitoresque old port, with
it`s large promenade, cristally clean sea and old stonemade houses, offers you a noumerious ways of spending your
holydays. Many beaches near town are very popular due to clean sea and beautiful sand. If you plan to spend some
ftime alone, you can choose rom many different beaches around the town, surronded by pine forests. For those who
are looking for some historical objects, there are few churches, old houses, renesanse sommer house of the croatian
poet Kavanjin, or they can visit one of manyexibitions during the summer. A very special event is an old proccesion,
which is taking place every year at 16.08.,called proccesion of st.Roko. It is attended by everyone in the town, and it is
still exactly the same as it was during centuries. Also you can fulfill your vacation with numerious trips from the Sutivan,
for example to Vidova gora (highest mountain or example to Vidova gora (highest mountain iof the island), desert of
Blaca (with middle age monastery), old town Skrip, etc.
